Founded in 2024 by Derek Barros in Ibiza, CUE BUDS was born out of necessity. Well, Why you may ask?

Derek was diagnosed with tinnitus after his deployment to Afghanistan and a four-year stint in the United States Marine Corps. And as a passionate DJ, music producer, and avid club-goer he found himself frequently working in loud environments and noticed that most people at clubs weren't protecting their hearing. And the free foam earplugs, scarcely available. Were ugly, ineffective, completely muffled the sound, And degraded the listening experience for the attendee. Although, there were other options on the market, Derek felt they were overpriced and didn't cater to his community of DJs, producers, audiophiles, and club/festival enthusiasts. And as one himself, he knew that protecting your hearing was paramount for longevity in the industry.
